The Molecular Pathology Laboratory participated in the Night of the Scientists, one of the most popular annual science events in Tartu. The theme was “How to Live to Be 100 Years Old” (“Kuidas elada 100-aastaseks?”).
We collaborated with the sports institute on a station where people tested their physical capabilities and how they can change over a person’s lifespan. A memory game taught people about immune markers scientists use to study ageing, and an ideas chart explored what influences ageing and how. We also had a pipetting station, a favourite among younger visitors. Overall, 40 people visited the lab.
